Our Bachelor Degree in Jazz and Contemporary Music Performance has been designed using jazz education as the backbone and creative force behind the learning process while keeping the focus on the reality of today´s ever-changing music industry. Our approach addresses key musicianship areas such as group practice, improvisation, ear-training and harmony, arranging and composition while guiding the student in the process of finding and developing their own personal artistic voice as the key to succeeding as a working artist and musician. It also provides them with the technological and entrepreneurial knowledge and skills that every musician needs in order to bridge the gap between being a student and becoming a professional musician.

Who is the Degree in Music Performance for?
The Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz and Contemporary Music Performance is aimed at non-conformist performers who want to make professional music their way of life.
You only need to have completed an intermediate level of musical training or demonstrate to us that you have the appropriate level. There are also specific courses available to prepare you for the entrance exams.

Requirements
1. Have previous musical education (level equivalent to Professional Studies).
2. Be in possession of any of these qualifications:
- High School Diploma: If you are going to obtain it in the academic year in which you are taking the entrance exam, you must present the payment receipt issued by the bank, proving that you have paid the fees to obtain your High School Diploma certificate. If you are a foreigner and the degree was obtained outside the European Union, you will need to get it approved to its equivalent in the Spanish educational system. If you need to do this, you can write to superior@musicacreativa.com to consult the procedure beforehand.
- Maturity Test for those over 18 years of age:
- University Entrance Exam for those over 25 years of age
What are the tests like?
The specific entrance exam for Higher Music Education will consist of the following:
- Two exercises to be performed in two sessions for the Music Performance speciality.
- Two exercises to be performed in three sessions for the Composition speciality.
The first exercise will be the same for both degrees. The other exercises will be of a practical nature and will be linked to the specialities and instruments.
