Official Master’s Degree in Folk Music Performance of the Iberian Peninsula
The Centro Superior Música Creativa is the first institution in Spain to incorporate the folklore of the Iberian Peninsula into an official academic framework, integrating it into higher music education with the recognition and rigor it deserves.
Through the application of structured methodologies and updated pedagogical approaches, this Master’s program aims to actively contribute to the preservation and transmission of oral tradition music. At the same time, it offers professional musicians the opportunity to access a valuable and extensive sound heritage, while deepening their interpretative and stylistic resources—areas that have so far been scarcely represented in university music programs.
This academic program embraces an integrative vision that connects traditional repertoires with contemporary languages such as urban popular music, jazz, and flamenco, thus fostering a creative dialogue between different styles and cultural contexts.

You will be required to perform a song from the folklore of the Iberian Peninsula.
Hold one of the following degrees (Official Master’s requirement)
- A university degree (Bachelor’s, Licenciatura, or Diplomatura).
- A degree in Higher Artistic Education.
- Degrees of this level issued in any country within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA).Un título universitario (Título de Grado, Licenciatura o Diplomatura)

If the degree comes from an institution outside the EHEA, a certification from the issuing institution will be required, confirming that the degree grants access to Master’s-level studies in that country. If you need an example of this document, please request it at: superior@musicacreativa.com
Additionally, any degree from a university outside the EHEA must be apostilled and duly legalized. If the documentation is in a language other than Spanish, an official sworn translation into Spanish must also be submitted.
Personal interview
If the evaluation committee deems it necessary, a personal interview will be scheduled with the candidate.
