International networks
International networks and initiatives
Centro Superior Música Creativa is proud to be part of a strong European network of partners, actively collaborating to enrich our educational offerings. We are members of key international organizations such as the Association Européenne des Conservatoires (AEC), the International Association of Schools of Jazz (IASJ), and the European Folk Network (EFN).
In addition, we participate in consortia like the House of Europe and contribute actively to various working groups and educational platforms. This extensive international involvement ensures that our students, faculty, and staff benefit from a dynamic, global learning environment and cutting-edge developments in music education.
Pop and Jazz Platform Working Group
The AEC Pop and Jazz Platform (PJP) Preparatory Working Group within the Association Européenne des Conservatoires (AEC) is dedicated to strengthening the presence, diversity, and quality of jazz, pop, folk, world music, and related programmes across European Higher Music Education institutions.
Established in 2005, the working group provides a regular forum for educators and institutions to exchange ideas, network, and address pedagogical, artistic, and industry-related issues in contemporary music education
Through the annual Pop & Jazz Platform meetings, the group promotes inclusive dialogue on genre diversity, teaching methods, artistic identity, and internationalisation in music training.
Our Artistic Director, Mario Carrillo, is a highly active member of this working group. He contributes to shaping its agenda and events through presentations and leadership, helping drive innovation in pop and jazz education across Europe.
By actively participating in the PJP Working Group, Centro Superior Música Creativa both shares its vision and learns from the experience and innovation of other institutions. This ongoing exchange strengthens our connection to the international music education community and directly enriches the quality and relevance of our own educational project.
Traditional, Folk, and Global Music Working Group
The Traditional, Folk & Global Music Working Group of the Association Européenne des Conservatoires (AEC) brings together institutions and professionals committed to exploring how traditional, folk, and culturally diverse musical practices can be meaningfully integrated into higher music education. The group promotes dialogue around cultural heritage and local knowledge, and the value of diverse musical expressions in contemporary academic and artistic contexts.
Laura Poggio, Director of Fundación Música Creativa, plays an active role in this group, contributing her vision and experience in promoting inclusive and culturally rooted music education. Her involvement helps shape the group’s reflections and initiatives, particularly around the intersection of tradition, innovation, and pedagogy.
By participating in this working group, Centro Superior Música Creativa both contributes to and learns from a diverse and forward-thinking international community. This exchange of ideas and practices enriches the depth, inclusivity, and cultural relevance of our own educational project.
House of Europe Project
House of Europe offers a model to foster interaction between the local population and immigrants through songwriting and live music creation. We organize participatory workshops for immigrants and music students, where, through guided facilitation, they share their stories and musical traditions, transforming them together into music.
International Partnerships
Música Creativa has established partnerships with different higher music education institutions across Europe with the same focus on music education.
